Main Application	(-)-Menthol is a key component of peppermint oil. (-)-Menthol binds to and activates transient receptor potential M8 (TRPM8), a Ca2+-permeable non-selective cation channel, ultimately increasing [Ca2+]i[1]. It has anti-tumor activity[1].
